Welcoming Our First Guests - Pre-Opening 12 August

  • By Sirada

Today was a landmark moment for the Setsu team as we celebrated our pre-opening with our first guests at Setsu Niseko. The sun was shining and Mount Yotei was in full glory as we opened our doors for the Obon Festival holidays.

To kick off the celebrations we invited Ms Sayuri Ichihashi, Director of Niseko Management Service and Mr Simon Cheong, Chairman and Founder of SC Global Developments to crack open the sake with a traditional Kagami Biraki ceremony. Guests gathered in Park90 Lounge Bar to enjoy the delicious sake before adjourning to the Setsu courtyard for a performance by a local community high school band.

Kutchan High School Kukko Brass Band are a respected band in the local community and even played for members of the G20 summit back in 2019. The 20-piece band consisted of both first-year and second-year high school students who performed 5 popular songs for our guests.

Our restaurants and spa are open and there are more activities planned for the Obon weekend. Please come down and join us.
