Lake Toya Day Tour

Lake Toya is a summer destination not to be missed. Just under an hour's drive from Setsu Niseko, you can enjoy not only the lake itself, but many activities including Mount Usu, an active volcano in the centre of the Shikotsu-Toya National Park.

Day tours are based on 8 hours per day.
An itinerary to be confirmed by the guest will be sent to the driver before the drive.
Some attractions may not be available off-season.
Start time of activities may vary during the actual day.
An English attendant may be requested for an extra charge of ¥25,000 but this will be subject to availability.
Price does not include meals, entrance fees, parking fees, and highway toll fees.

Recommended Itinerary

Mount Usu: Take the Usuzan Ropeway close to the volcano's summit and visit the observation deck to experience some of the finest panoramic views of Lake Toya and the ocean. Alternatively, take a helicopter ride to enjoy the views of the lake from the sky.
Lake Toya Cruise: If you are in the mood to sit back and relax, why not enjoy a 50-minute pleasure boat tour around Nakajima island in the centre of the lake? Or if you are looking for something a little more active, try out a tour of the lake by kayak or paddleboard.
Wakasaimo Experience: Sightseeing is hungry work. It's time to stop at one of the local cafes for lunch or visit Wakasaimo the 100-year-old confectionery store famous for its sweet potatoes bean paste delights.
Sculpture Spotting: Take a stroll around the lakeshore and enjoy the spectacular views and fresh clean air as you check out the sculptures that are artistically placed around the lake.
Shikotsu Toya National Park Silo Observatory: An observatory located at the tip of Lake Toya. It is famous as one of Hokkaido’s leading photography spots, as well as for the wonderful view of Mount Usu, Nakajima, etc.

Bookings must be made at least 4 days in advance of the tour.

Additional fees will be applied if the drive exceeds 8 hours.

Cancellation within the specific time frame before booking commencement will incur a cancellation fee as shown below:
4 days: a 100% cancellation fee
Cancellation includes changes that reduce the overall value of the booking and no-shows.
