Important Information
Recommended Itinerary

Sapporo is well known for sights such as the Sapporo TV Tower, Sapporo Beer Museum, and Maruyama Zoo. For a fun-packed day, our recommended itinerary includes:

  • Chocolate Factory: Shiroi Koibito Park is a chocolate entertainment park operated by Japanese confectionery manufacturer, Shiroya. They produce the Shiroi Koibito cookies, one of Japan's most famous sweets. Founder Isao Ishimizu was fascinated by the beauty of England and wanted to convey its beauty to the locals. The result is a beautiful park where cultures merge. If you have a sweet tooth, you must check out the delicious fun at Shiroi Koibito Park.
  • Odori Park: Take a walk through this oasis in the middle of the business district with 92 types of trees including lilacs and elm. On its lawns and around its fountains, one can find locals and tourists alike relaxing. Although Odori Park is called a park, it’s really more of a street. In 1871, a fire broke out, subsequently dividing central Sapporo into its northern and southern parts. Odori Park is the venue for many of Hokkaido’s best-known seasonal events, such as the Snow Festival in winter; Lilac Festival in spring; YOSAKOI Soran Festival and beer garden in summer; and the Autumn Food Festival in autumn.
  • Hokkaido Shrine: Hokkaido Shrine was constructed in 1871 to hold the deities, Ōkunitama, Okuninushi, and Sukunahikona, and also the soul of the Meiji Emperor. It is the main Shrine of Hokkaido and a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. The shrine is well worth a look in all seasons, especially during Spring when it is surrounded by 1,500 cherry blossom trees which usually bloom early to mid May.
  • All-you-can-eat Crab: Indulge in an abundance of fresh king crab, snow crab, and sushi in a city renowned for its world-class seafood.
  • Shopaholic at Mitsui Outlet: A shopping paradise where you can literally shop till you drop with over 180 different shops and restaurants offering a broad selection of famous branded goods.
