Job Overview

The onsen staff performs day-to-day onsen duties, such as maintaining onsen cleanliness and assisting with simple onsen bookings. The team works together to improve the service every day for the owners and guests to experience the best hospitality in Setsu Niseko..

Responsibilities and Duties

The key tasks that are required of this person include:

  • Touch-up & basic clean of public onsen, private onsen after each use of 45 minutes, and onsen lounge
  • Onsen amenities replenishment
  • Take care of onsen desk and may handle simple onsen bookings (most bookings are not taken at the onsen desk)
  • Ensure guests comply with Japanese onsen etiquette
  • Assist with other division as required

Reports to:  Setsu Niseko Front Desk Duty Manager

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Passionate about keeping things tidy and clean
  • Understand Setsu Niseko’s vision for customer service and be committed to its delivery
  • Be an excellent, flexible, inspirational and involved team player
  • Ability to set priorities and work to deadlines with close attention to detail
  • Always be punctual and considerate of fellow work colleagues
  • Visa status permitting work in Japan
Standard Working Hours

9 hours per day (with 1 hour break); between 7:00-24:00; 30-40 hours per week.
Split shifts may be required at times.
Hours may increase during high occupancy periods.

Previous Winter Season (2025-26):
¥1,500 – ¥1,650
