Setsu Niseko Marketing Assistant

Job Overview

The Setsu Niseko Marketing Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the Marketing plan, driving brand awareness, an elevated guest experience and ultimately hotel bookings. The Setsu Niseko Marketing Assistant will be supporting the Sales & Marketing department in implementing our marketing plan. This involves content creation, EDM, design collateral and hotel event coordination. Outside of these core responsibilities this role will involve a diverse range of other tasks that will help us achieve our stated goals of promoting Setsu Niseko as a premier all-season destination within the Niseko market.

Responsibilities and Duties

The key tasks that are required of this person include:

  • Content creation across all formats
  • Assist with the planning and execution of hotel events and media production.
  • Manage EDM campaigns and database
  • Ability to design and create promotional material for use across all formats
  • Assist with Media / Influencer coordination and in-resort management
    • Report back on deliverables post stay
  • Social media support and engagement management
  • Assist with monitoring & reporting to management on Setsu Niseko performance
  • Management of signage and promotional material within the hotel
  • Assist with implementing SEO recommendations
  • Assist with Setsu Niseko online, website, advertising and brochure strategies.
  • Distribution of marketing materials – both in physical and digital forms.
  • Supporting the wider sales & marketing team as necessary.

Reports to: Setsu Niseko Sales & Marketing Manager and Sales & Marketing Senior Manager

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Prior marketing experience.
  • Proficient in using key design software - Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
  • Must have a native level of English language skill. Japanese ability is preferred but not required for this role.
  • Always be punctual and considerate of fellow work colleagues.
  • Passionate about the winter season and a love of the outdoors.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to improve business outcomes.
  • Be a flexible and engaged team member.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow processes.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Must be able to receive directives and ensure they are accurately and promptly followed through in the manner specified to their conclusion.
  • Visa status permitting full-time work in Japan. Sponsorship is available for the right applicant.
  • A Driver’s License is recommended to enable yourself in Niseko.
  • A passion for photography would be a bonus.
