Accounting Officer/Supervisor

Job Overview

Responsible for overseeing all accounting operations related to hotel management and condominium ownership. This role ensures smooth financial processes to support the delivery of exceptional hospitality experiences for both owners and guests at Setsu Niseko.

Responsibilities and Duties

The key tasks that are required of this person include:

  • Manage revenue, accounts, and payment collections
  • Handle banking operations and all payment processing tasks
  • Coordinate billing-related communications, liaise across departments, and prepare/issue invoices and supporting documents
  • Manage petty cash and overall cash handling
  • Process employee reimbursements, including travel expenses and others
  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including data entry into accounting software and management systems
  • Support monthly and annual financial closings, as well as audit processes
  • Handle administrative duties such as audit support, compliance, and report preparation in response to requests from the Hong Kong parent company

Reports to: Senior Accounting Manager

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Solid accounting knowledge (Bookkeeping Level 2 or equivalent preferred)
  • Experience in hotel or seasonal resort environments is an advantage
  • Strong Excel and PC skills
  • Comfortable reading and writing English and Japanese documents
  • Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment
  • Self-starter and Self-motivated
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities
  • Valid working visa for Japan (visa sponsorship possible for the right candidate)
Standard Working Hours

8 hours per day (with 1 hour break); between 9:00-18:00, 5 days a week (usually weekends off)

Work schedule may be subject to change depending on peak seasons and hotel occupancy levels.

  • Monthly salary: ¥240,000 – ¥350,000 (plus annual discretionary bonus)
