Job Overview
Setsu Niseko is a luxury condominium-style hotel located in the heart of Hirafu, opened in August 2022. Developed by SC Global Developments, a leading luxury developer in Asia, the property features 190 guest rooms along with restaurants, spa, onsen, gym, yoga studio, kids’ room, ski shop and ski lockers.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to oversee all accounting operations related to hotel operations and condominium ownership.
Responsibilities and Duties
The key tasks that are required of this person include:
- Manage and supervise the accounting team tasks listed below
- Oversee revenue, accounts and payment processing
- Manage banking transactions and cash flow
- Handle invoicing, interdepartmental coordination and documentation
- Oversee petty cash and expense reimbursements
- Perform daily accounting operations including system input
- Lead monthly and annual closing processes and audits
- Liaise with tax accountants and external auditors
- Support budgeting processes and review
- Prepare financial and tax analysis to support management decision-making
- Coordinate with Hong Kong headquarters for group audits and compliance matters
Reports to: Senior Finance Manager
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
- Solid accounting knowledge (Bookkeeping Level 2 or equivalent preferred)
- Experience in hotel or seasonal resort environments is an advantage
- Strong Excel and PC skills
- Comfortable reading and writing English and Japanese documents
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong time management abilities
- Valid working visa for Japan (visa sponsorship possible for the right candidate)
Standard Working Hours
8 hours per day (with 1 hour break); between 9:00-18:00; 5 days a week

- Monthly salary: ¥390,000 – ¥500,000 (plus annual discretionary bonus)
