While the end of season may be approaching, there’s always the next winter season to look forward to. A new season in Niseko always brings about new things to look forward to – just like this winter’s newly opened Ace Gondola or the newly renovated Sanshoku on the second floor of the Grand Hirafu Mountain Centre.
Mountain Upgrades
For the 2025-26 Winter Season, Niseko Tokyu Grand Hirafu will be making two revamps: a new restaurant on the second floor of the Ace Gondola summit station, and a new 6-seater chairlift that will replace King Quad Lift #3’s 4-seater chairlift, complete with heated seats and a beginner and children-friendly loading carpet design at the lift station.
With the upgrade from a 4-seater to a 6-seater, the lift will increase capacity by up to 600 more passengers per hour. It’s expected that this upgrade will accommodate the growing crowds that flock to Niseko every winter and ease traffic congestion at the lifts.

Flexible Plans
This winter came with a lot of surprises starting with delaying the resort’s opening by a day to suddenly breaking a 68-year-old record for reaching a snowfall depth of up 142 centimetres just for December – the first month of the season. With these unexpected events happening, Setsu Niseko is now making planning for your trip to Niseko next winter a little easier by offering the 2025 Winter Flexible Rate with Breakfast Plan.
This offer allows our guests to have more freedom in adjusting their plans by not requiring any prepayment at the time of booking* or not having to pay any penalties when cancelling at least 31 days prior to arrival. With this offer, our guests can confidently secure their stay at Setsu Niseko as early as possible with our flexible cancellation options. *Click here for more details.
