2026 is a big year for Niseko’s cycling community as the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships will be held in Asia for the first time ever right here in Niseko on 26 - 30 August 2026. A highly anticipated event where the top amateur cyclists gather to tackle Niseko’s mountainous terrain.

With the season bringing warmer temperatures and bluebird days, the area starts its transition to the summer season while still receiving late-season snowfalls - making it possible to enjoy three seasons in Niseko all at once.
