Jozankei is the the best place to appreciate the beauty of autumn leaves, with five vantage points to cherish those colourful moments.

Futami Tsuribashi Suspension Bridge:From this bright red suspensionbridge, you can see ”Futami-iwarocks” that was named after Futamigaura in Ise, Mie Pref. and“Kappa buchi” that has a legend of Kappa. There is a natural walking path ”Futami Jozan Road.” Cross the red Futamituribashi bridge and walk along Toyohira River.
Jozankei Shrine: Built in 1905, this shrine stands quietly amidst the lush green hills overlooking Jozankei Onsen. In autumn, it becomes a famous fall foliage spot. The trailhead to Mt. Yuhi is located at the back of the shrine grounds, making the shrine a place of relaxation for hikers.
Hoheikyo Dam: One of Sapporo’s popular leisure spots, with a beautiful view of Hokeikyo dam surrounded by the natural landscape of the blue lake and green mountains. The views are particularly beautiful when the autumn leaves turn red, making this dam one of the Top 100 Waterside Forests, and Top 100 Lake Dams as ranked by the Forestry Agency.
